A Delegation from the Ministry of Public Health, Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, including Mr. Ahmed Zia Qureshi, Director of the Medical Board, and Mr. Zia-Ur-Rehman, Director of Lands, visited the SHARP office in Kabul. The meeting addressed key areas of collaboration, including:
- Operationalizing and strengthening Muhammad Ali Jinnah Hospital in Kabul.
- Enhancing the capacity of bio-medical engineering professionals in Afghanistan.
- Developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality control measures, and equipment calibration as urgent priorities.
- Expanding capacity-building programs for medical and paramedical professionals.
- Prioritizing oncology-related services.
During the meeting, the MoPH officials invited SHARP’s team to visit a newly established hospital in Kabul focused on oncology diagnostics and treatment.
